IE6 and CSS
Unfortunately IE6 is still with us.

Two Main Differences

Two of the major differences between IE6 and all other browsers is how IE6 interrupts the CSS box and it's not being able to read transparency within images (png24).

Box Size

With all other browsers the box size grows as you add padding and borders

with IE6 it does not. The box remains the same size. One way around this is to add an additional div inside the main div and take the padding off the main div and add margins to the inner div.

Transparency
The only way to get around IE not reading transparency is to place the image as a background for a div.

Then create an additional style sheet for IE. For the IE style sheet the background image for the div is not transparent
